HTML and Text

Is there a way that I can pull HTML and the Plain Text? It is not an issue, but I use a third party app (Flexmail) and my preference is to use Plain Text, but there are times that HTML is the only option to read a message. Flexmail gives me the ability to quickly switch to HTML if needed. Basically, I would sent my device to use HTML and pull 25KB but it would also pull plain text as well.

I may be the only person that has this situation, so it probably will not be worth doing anything about it, and this may be a limitation of Activesync, and....I may not have a good understanding of what I am talking about. If that's the case, please disregard.

Thanks for all you do!

HTC Snap WM6.5

Order of mail operations

When I read mail on my device (a Nokia E71 with RoadSync), after reading a message I tend to move it either to [Gmail]/All Mail, or into the folder for the appropriate tag. The problem is that more often than not, when I log into Gmail, the message is still marked as unread. I thus have to go in and clean up clumps of unread messages now and then.

If I read a message on the device and leave it in the Inbox, or move it after it has been in the Inbox for a while, then it will show up in Gmail as read.

I suspect this has something to do with either the order in which the operations are sent to Nuevasync, or the order in which Nuevasync sends the operations to Gmail, so I'm not sure there's anything can be done if it's a problem with RoadSync.

-Kurt

Windows Mobile 6.1: new email notification

I get an envelope on the top of the screen, even a sound/vibrate when an email gets pushed to the phone.
IMAP folders empty and not updating - any way of pushing messages into them?

Hi,

Although this problem may well be solved by server-side searching through Nuevasync onto my IMAP server, I have a problem with IMAP folders that I've created and dropped messages in not showing on my iPhone which is sync'd through Nuevasync.

Is there anyway of making these 'push' folders too, so that if I add new messages to the folders on another IMAP client they get push straight to my iPhone?

James

No emails with new gmail sync

Hi,

With the new task feature, I've decided to give the trial premium service a go.

Since I'm planning to pay for the premium account, I thought i should give push email a go.

I have a standard gmail account and a Nokia n95. I've setup the gmail account from the NuevaSync end, and have told Nokia Mail for Exchange to now sync emails. However, when I run a sync (I only sync manually when I have a wifi connection) it syncs 0 emails - even though I expect it to grab all the emails from the last few days on my gmail account.

I've tried a 'full resync' and I've also deletd the MfE profile and reset it up, but still no luck.

Is there any other tricks for getting email setup on a Nokia phone?

Daniel

(PS - thanks heaps for getting tasks working, it's won me over to pay for a Premium account.)

Cannot Get Mail

Hi,

I've recently migrated back to using your service, with a look to using the premium subscription for push email. I'm using the trial at the moment, but seem to be having a few issues.

At first, all my mail appeared to be pushed out fine, however I'm now getting 'Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server failed' messages, and occasionally an error showing up on my Nuevasync device page, but not on the services page.

Can anyone offer any assistance on the matter? My Nuevasync account name is 'techwarlrus'

Many thanks

Push email saving my ass right now, literally, as we speak.

Ok... Strange stuff's been happening, I'm suspecting a case of identity theft attempt is taking place on me as we speak.
In the last hour or so, I've been getting password emails from places I know I won't be getting password reset emails from. This was initially very odd, but I think I may be being targeted by someone.

Two emails came in from work, one for the forum and another for our customer's area, asking for password reset.
Both was pushed to my cell phone right away.
Eventually, our customer's area's password was resetted and sent to me.
Much to my surprise, mail.app instantly deleted the messages... I'm guessing someone is on another IMAP client or something.

But, thanks to my hacky deployment of push email -- all messages going to my email are forwarded to a tunnel email address, which is being pushed to my phone -- I have a copy of those messages on the phone and in the other account. I was able to notice these changes taking place and quickly change all my important passwords.

Thanks NuevaSync!
