I have noticed since switching from iPhone, where everything was pretty much instant between my phone and gmail, including deletes, that now I am on winmo 6.5, the deletes are not getting sent.
Any ideas? I'm on premium btw.

This is how the Windows Mobile sync client is designed to work (and it's the "right way" too!).
The thinking is that some operations such as deleting a message don't need to be sent to the server
right away, but can be held pending until some other communication with the server occurs.
At that time, the delete operations are sent. The goal is to reduce both the amount of data
exchanged (saves money if the phone is on a pay for bytes plan), and improve battery
life (the phone's radio doesn't need to be in high power mode for as long as would be
the case if it sent the deletes immediately).
You'll also notice that you can delete and move messages when the phone is out of
coverage (e.g. in a subway or train tunnel). The iPhone can't do this.

Okay, I just signed up for the free trial. I have an iPhone. Email seems to be pushed in a fairly timely manner. But deletes aren't. Even if I delete or open the mail, the mail remains on my phone until I open my mail app, or I wait about 15 mintues, it'll finally delete.
What's up with that?

Found this thread: http://forum.nuevasync.com/forum/posts/list/158.page
Talks about the issues I'm having. So it did get resolved? I wonder why it isn't working for me?

Hi, what behavior exactly are you seeing ?
Are messages deleted in another client being deleted from the device, but
that delete is happening a few minutes after the other client initiates the delete ?

Exactly. Same with read status.
I read or delete on say, the web client, this isn't reflected on the iPhone until a few minutes later?

Ok, read/un-read status is a different issue specific to GMail : Google didn't implement the part of the IMAP protocol that allows read/un-read status changes to be seen in real-time, so the best we can do is to poll every few minutes to get those changes.
As for delete events: the service should most of the time get those in real-time, however it won't always. This is the result of a design decision we took to try to use as few IMAP connections as possible (Google has an account-wide limit of 10). We save one connection but as a result sometimes don't receive delete events until the next poll cycle. Most users find this a worthwhile trade off because they typically don't care if deletes done in another client appear straight away on the device, but they do want sync to work in general (it wouldn't if the 10 connection limit were exceeded).
Try deleting a message after a period of inactivity (a few minutes after the last message was received, and after any device-side mailbox activity). You should see that delete push immediately.
There's some information about both these issues on this page:

Okay deleted a couple of new emails after a several minutes. They indeed delete immediately.
Emails just don't delete from device immediately after they are sent.
Is there any workaround in the works for either/both of these issues?
1. Delete immediately
2. Read/unread status

Don't know if you guys have tested google's sync service, but my iPhone does reflect changes to email immediately (when deleted or read from another client).
But their service this flaky at best, which is why i came to nuevasync.

Their sync service doesn't use IMAP to get to the mailbox. They have their own internal interface (which we can't use).
