Disabling syncing of the Spam folder

Is there a way to disable the syncing of the Spam folder? (gmail)
Of course the best option would be an UI to select which folders to sync (like Nokia Messaging does)

Hi, I'd been thinking about this subject already : no other devices sync all the mail folders. Only the N900 does this.
The iPhone for example will manually sync any folder the user browses into , but will only push sync folders that the
user selects. Windows Mobile will only sync folders the user selects. So the N900 behavior is out of line with established
device behavior. We'd need to add some UI to allow the user to de-select folders on our web site. We already have this
for calendar sync so it wouldn't be too hard to add the same capability for email. OTOH perhaps the N900 sync client
developers will have already realized that they should add this capability on the device.
