I've had the "inbox disappearing" problem a few times and today it's happened twice (the last time it occured was many weeks ago). After it first occured today I read the posts here and the only way I could get my Inbox sync'd again was to trigger a resync from the website. Then, about 1 hour later my Inbox vanished again. Happy to assist with debugging what's wrong since generally the sync is excellent but just these occaisonal glitches become frustrating. thanks!

Quick update on this issue:
We think this iPhone behavior began with the latest firmware update, a few weeks ago.
That new firmware fixed several problems, so was generally a good thing to have.
However, it appears to have introduced this new spontaneous message vanishing problem.
As always, the iPhone is particularly tricky to debug because it gives absolutely no
clue as to what it's doing (no log files, no error messages).
So, we've been working over the past couple of weeks to try to guess what's going
on in the phone's sync software. We've also fixed a few issues in the service
that could lead to resyncing (those problems were not in fact causing the
message vanishing syndrome, but they were the source of some proportion
of the reports, and it was useful to get them out of the way so the 'main'
problem could be seen in isolation).
The investigation continues and we're hoping to learn enough to prevent the
device behavior from occurring. Thanks for your patience while we complete
this work.

Strangely, email on my iPhone hasn't worked at all due to constant sync issues since this fix!! I'll start a support ticket...

Coincidence. Your problem was a weird message issue (if I may use such a highly technical term...).

So it seems! Thanks for the very quick support response.
Since that problem, I've had no issues of coming/going!
