The connection to the server failed.

This is what my iPhone tells me. I will recheck my settings just in case.

Nevermine. I had too many connections and it wouldn't connect. I had gmail open, Outlook with IMAP and the iPhone all trying to connect.

Thanks for the update. We've had a few users hoist by the connection limit petard. I've added some info on the syndrome to the web site : http://wiki.nuevasync.com:8080/wiki/bin/view/Public/emailSyncIssues
We also changed the service earlier this evening to limit the number of monitored folders (some users had gone hog wild monitoring loads of folders, and exceeded the IMAP connection limit as a result). Excess folders will be polled. The service is sufficiently smart to ensure that it always monitors the inbox. The plan is to add UI to the web site that allows the user to increase the limit. It's no big deal to us how many folders you monitor, but right now we're seeing users that are breaking their own service by monitoring > 10 folders with a GMail mailbox, so we chose to fix things quickly for them.
