I am missing the imap folder "All mail" to archive messages. Right now, I have only the delete button.
With best regards
Ingo

Hi, we're working on this. I'll post an update in the morning.

Ok thanks.
Right now I am helping me with a label iPhoneArchive - so I can move all messages there and on my computer I can select all to archive them.
With best regards
Ingo

Was this fixed? I don't see "All Folders" listed for my GMail account on my iPhone...

You might need to delete the sync config and re-create it to get the new folders.

What does that mean? I'm not sure how to delete the "sync config" ... you mean on my iPhone? I just added mail to my account today if that matters.
If that is what you mean, I'll go ahead and try to do that.

Go to settings \ mail, contacts, calendar...., then select the account you configured for our service, then click the red delete button.
When you add the account back, the phone will fetch a new folder list. It should do this normally (e.g. if you add a folder in GMail, it should show up on the phone soon after), but the fix we did to add the all mail folder to the sync'ed list wasn't processed in the normal way, hence the need to go through the reconfigure steps.

Alright, I thought that is what you meant but since I only added this account today I thought maybe it might be something else and not a case of needing to update an old sync config because of some recent code push.
I did try removing the sync config and adding it again but none of my system folders (Starred, Trash, Sent Mail, All Mail) are showing up as folders.
(Thanks for your quick responses, btw!)

That's not how it should be. I checked on your account (thanks for being one of our old timers, btw) and didn't see anything obviously wrong.
For reference, the folders for a GMail user should look like this :
and, scrolling down:
Can you send an e-mail to support please so we can get your folders issue straightened out ?

Thanks for the screenshots!
Yes, that is what I was used to seeing when I was doing IMAP with GMail directly. Now I don't see any of those extra folders, and in particular I don't see the [Gmail] folder with the sub folders. I feel like there was a Nuevasync setting I set at one point earlier today and I don't see how to change it or even how it was set. But it was something like, "Enable subfolders for Apple clients"... I chose that, and now don't see anywhere showing 1) that i chose that setting or 2) how to turn it off. Not sure if that has anything to do with it? It might have been a calendar option as well?
For the record, here is what my folder list looks like...
I'll email support now.
And thanks for being a great service! Makes being an oldtimer easier.

Hey there! Still having this problem. I sent an email to support about it and haven't heard anything back. I actually sent another email to support after this on another issue and it was responded to and resolved already. So, maybe this one is just more tough. Any chance I'm still missing something?

Hi, we've seen two users report the missing folder syndrome and are investigating.

I have the same issue. I'm not seeing the "all mail" folder either. I've tried deleting and re-adding... no luck.

We're working to understand this issue. For some reason, a few users (seems to be 2-3 so far) have a mailbox where folders like trash and all mail do not appear in the list we retrieve from GMail via IMAP. We headed off slightly in the wrong direction yesterday by concluding that you don't need a trash folder in GMail, and so the solution would be for us to 'fake one' for the device. After further consultation with the users reporting this problem, it's clear that in the GMail web UI they do have a trash folder/label. So the task now is to figure out why we're not seeing it.
If anyone who has this issue is also using a desktop IMAP client such as Thunderbird, we'd be interested to hear because the folder list as seen by that client might give us a clue.

I've been working with the support team and they are making some headway. I now have a Trash folder but am still missing the [gmail] folder and Spam and All Mail... which are more important to me than Trash since I never delete anything. Still, progress is progress!
